The answer: Probably. The solution: Don’t look much further and get sexy tank tops for summer just like you favorite celebrities!

Tank tops are actually essential to any woman’s functioning wardrobe year-round. The celebrity equivalent of this is shopping vintage stores on Rodeo:) And when you do find a few sexy tank tops, purchase them in every color that they have in your size. This will keep you from ever coming up short when you need the perfect layering piece in the boardroom or on the boardwalk!

Summer Trend Alert: Feminine Floral Dresses

Alright ladies, you are probably as anxious as me to know what is the hottest style to wear now that it is officially summer. Well I am hear to tell you about a definite fashion DO for the season, it’s feminine floral dresses!

If you are the fashion maverick type, you can interpret this trend in two different ways. If traditional is more your style, go for feminine floral dresses that are made of a floral print fabric. A flowy floral print dress is always appropriate in the summer to beat the heat. However, if you are more daring or creative in your style, a feminine floral dress with floral appliques like rosettes is a more modern interpretation of the feminine floral dress trend. Either way, go for a fun color for the season like lilac. Two of my top choices for a feminine floral dress with a floral print are: Alice + Olivia Floral Stripe Halter Dress with Belt and Whitley Kros Carlton Dress. As for feminine floral dresses with floral accents and appliques, I am rocking Gabriella Rocha Haven Dress in Pink and rsvp Lopez Dress in Purple.

Pre-Fall Trend Alert: The Blouse

I know it just became officially summer, but I am “on to the next one” (*love Jay-Z!*) with my look at the emerging pre-fall trend…the blouse.

This simple, sophisticated wardrobe essential is professional, transitional, playful, and at times sexy. The blouse is a piece that every woman over the age of 20 needs to have at least4 of. Don’t think you need to add the blouse to your closet? Well, check out my tips and see why four is my magic number for the essential number of blouses that you or any other woman needs to have in her fashion repertoire.

Pre-Fall Trend Alert: The Blouse Tip #1: Go for the basics! A basic black blouse and a basic white blouse are as necessary as underwear to your wardrobe! Pieces such as this can be paired with slacks, skirts and jeans. For the perfect white blouses I like the Theory Ariadne Top for a more casual approach and DSQUARED2 Poor Man Shirt for a more traditional version of the blouse. For an essential black blouse, I like the Equipment Sisley Chiffon Signature Blouse. The sheer effect of the blouse allows for great layering!

Pre-Fall Trend Alert: The Blouse Tip #2: Add a bit of print! The blouse can be boring if you work in a office setting, so spice it up by choosing blouses with prints. My pick for this tip is most definitely the Equipment Hard Feelings Chiffon Blouse. This blouse can easily go from office to happy hour with an adjustment in the bottoms you choose and the accessories you wear!

Pre-Fall Trend Alert: The Blouse Tip #3: Sleeveless is Key! The blouse is indeed essential to any woman’s wardrobe, but what about when the whether heats up? Then adjust this perennial classic by choosing a sleeveless version. The sleeveless blouse is a great choice even in cold weather if you wear blazers. I pick Elie Tahari Kensington Blouse for one of my favorite pre-fall blouses. This piece can jazz up the basic black suit or add polish to your favorite pair of dark denim jeans.

Fashion in Review: 7 For All Mankind

Hello fashion addicts, today I want to talk to you about a brand that I have always liked, but never blogged about. It’s the fab denim/lifestyle brand of 7 For All Mankind!

If you love jeans, style, celeb sightings, and awesome fit, then 7 For All Mankind is the label for you. Recently on a rushed shopping excursion, I came across the coolest jacket. The 7 For All Mankind Cropped Denim Jacket with Chains is exactly what I was looking for for my upcoming trip. This nifty jacket can be worn with a plain white t-shirt, tank, or artsy shirt. It is so versatile! Speaking of t-shirts, I also purchased the fabulous 7 For All Mankind Leopard Lips T-Shirt, a white t-shirt with a set of light turquoise leopard print lips in the front, grey shading, and small square perforated holes. I would pair this shirt with 7 For All Mankind Roxanne Classic Slim Fit Jeans in Clean Grey. I know this will motivate my fellow fashionistas to shop in the right direction!

Wondering what to wear that is cool, fun, chic and totally appropriate for this blazing weather? Then try my new style obsession with fringe clothing and accents!

Ok, you are probably thinking “Fringe? Isn’t that from like the 70’s?” The answer is yes, but like most styles, fringe clothing and accents has come back as an under-the-radar trend for the summer! Fringe clothing and accents portrays a cool layed-back style that can easily transition from board walk to shopping to dinner. I have found some of the cutest pieces of fringe clothing and accents to be on handbags (check out:J.J Winters Fringe Silver Chain Bag), t-shirts (my picks are: Wildfox Couture Black Heart Fringe Tee in Neon Orange and Blue Life Fringe Angel Top in White) and sandals (see: Twelfth Street Cree Fringe Thongs in Black) this summer. Fringe Clothing & Accents Tip #1: Incorporate fringe clothing and accents easily and effortlessly into your wardrobe by buying wardrobe pieces you would normally wear like t-shirts, handbags and sandals. Adding casual pieces like this will make it easy to wear a few fringe pieces without straining your brain as to how!

Fringe Clothing & Accents Tip #2: Don’t make the mistake of wearing too many fringe pieces at once! The point of wearing fringe clothing and accents is to add a little flair to your wardrobe, not to look like a fashion don’t! Too many fringe pieces worn at once will make you look as if you are wearing a costume. I recommend wearing no more than 2 pieces of fringe clothing or accents at one time.

Fringe Clothing & Accents Tip #3: Fringe clothing and accents that you like can easily have a second detail characteristic to them (such as chain detailing). Just remember to make such a multi-faceted piece the focal point of your outfit.

What Are the Perfect Summer Dresses for Evening Wear?

It’s the weekend and it is most definitely time to go out! If you are like me, it takes an agonizingly long time to pick just the right dress for evenings out. So my question is what are the perfect summer dresses for evening wear!

Think sexy, sassy, and chic. Whether your figure is picture perfect or not, the perfect summer dresses for evening wear show off your best parts and slyly camouflage those other parts.

Perfect Summer Dresses for Evening Wear Tip #1: If you want to create the perfect silhouette, the use of quality (but breathable) shapewear is important. Do like the celebrities do and get you a few pieces of Spanx shapewear, Dr. Rey Shapewear, or Sassybax shapewear for different cuts of dresses.

Perfect Summer Dresses for Evening Wear Tip #2: Go for arms out or strapless styles if you have great arms, go for a strapless style if you have great shoulders and a not too large bust, or go for a short length if you have great legs. The point: don’t try to do everything in one dress, the result will just look trashy!

Perfect Summer Dresses for Evening Wear Tip #3: Being summer, color is key. If you are bold with colors, go for hot pink, yellow and bright turquoise. If you are a little more demure, try violet purple and copper orange.

Is There A Perfect Little White Bikini for Summer?

Ok, it is currently hotter than Hades outside and it is definitely time to go to the beach. Sounds like a great plan right? Well only if you are in the chicest of the chic swimwear. My solution…the perfect little white bikini!

You may be saying to yourself “She’s nuts! Why on earth would I buy a little white bikini?” Since white is the new black this season and all of those hours of sweat that you put in at your Pilates classes this Winter weren’t for nothing, it is time to be a bit daring! Ladies, yes the perfect little white bikini does exist and it is such a chic look that you will be able to wear it for summers to come! White looks good on tanned skin…period. I don’t care how fair or deep your complexion may be, if you have some type of rosy, bronze or orange glow to your skin (even if it came from a bottle!) a little white bikini WILL look good against your complexion. I know the suspense is killing you, so I won’t hold off any longer…

Perfect Little White Bikini Tip #1: First and foremost, find a cut of bikini that is flattering to your body type. This is key for ANY bikini to look good on you!

Perfect Little White Bikini Tip #2: Use embellishments to accents your positives. A little white bikini is such a blank canvas, go for the gold in the details department! A rhinestone studded white bikini top on a woman with a small bust is hot. If you have a cute butt, go for a white bikini bottom with fringe or chain detailing. The sky is the limit!

Perfect Little White Bikini Tip #3: Try a matching sarong or pareo to really look hot in your perfect little white bikini!

Spiked Stiletto Pumps: Where Classic Meets Trashy!

Pumps are classic, spiked stiletto heels are trashy…Learn how to wear one of the hottest trends for summer!

As a lover of any heel 4″ or more, I absolutely adore the classic yet edgy/trashy appeal of spiked stiletto pumps. The bright and vibrant colors of this season go amazingly well with the look of spiked stiletto pumps with any form of jumpsuit, legging, skinny jean, or sailor pant/short. The appeal lies in the forbidden for the spiked stiletto pumps. The fact that many of these styles are out of the normal realm of what most women would choose as footwear is fun and very daring. Go for styles of spiked stiletto pumps with little to no detail. You want to retain as much classic appeal as possible. As stated earlier, vibrant colors are also complimentary with this style of shoe. Rich fabrics, such as leather and suede are also a great choice and serve as both form and function with spiked stiletto pumps.

How Do You Wear Stripper Heels with Class?

The term ’stripper heels’ may be a bit offensive to some, but I am referring to shoes that have a front platform that is 1″+ high. A few other popular characteristics of stripper heels are that they have clear lucite heels and are somewhere around the 5″ to 6″ mark. Stripper heels take time and practice for the everyday woman to get used to wearing comfortably and have the ability to pull them off effortlessly. For starters, wearing stripper heels is something you want to do with class and only with certain outfits.

Tip #1: Do Not Wear Stripper Heels with Miniskirts or Minidresses. Your footwear is going to speak volumes, so there is no need top crank up the noise anymore with a miniskirt or minidress (either of which will look obscenely short and totally trashy with an extra 5″ to 6″ added on to your height!). So, if you want to look classy when you step out in stripper heels, stick with bootcut jeans, capris, and longer skirts. I like Paris Hilton Women’s Bling in Pewter and bebe Shoes Belinda in Yellow.

Tip #2: Stripper Heels with Feminine Accents look Less Stripperish: If you love the towering height and boost of confidence that stripper heels gives you, but don’t like the stigma, look for stripper heels with feminine and dainty accents. Bows and flowers are great choices to soften the look of stripper heels. For this, I like Harajuku Lovers Delaney in Brown and Luichiny Kam Me Pump in Blush Satin.

Tip #3: When in doubt, go for Stripper Heels that look like Boots! Ok, this is only for temperate seasons, like Spring & Fall, but if you are in doubt on how to wear stripper heels and still look ladylike, then go for a boot variation. A stripper heel that looks like a boot will get a very different response (meaning a positive one) than a pair of sandals that clearly look like stripper heels. I personally love bebe Shoes Berwin in Natural and bebe Shoes Berwin Bootie in Black.

Do You Have the Right Miniskirts for Summer?

The summer miniskirt…this is one of the truest statements of femininity in any woman’s closet and for this season, the funkier the better!

Tip #1: Go for Bold Sequins. I love the glitz and glam of sequins so on a cute miniskirt is exactly the look you want for the season. A few picks I like are Haute Hippie Bias Sequin Miniskirt and Alice + Olivia Sequin Miniskirt.

Tip #2: Miniskirt in Print are Hot! A miniskirt with a print or pattern fabric are hot for summer. I like Thakoon Thakoon Addition Seamed Miniskirt and Diane von Furstenberg Ginsy Miniskirt.

Tip #3: Bandage-style miniskirts are in Vogue for the Summer. Having a sleek miniskirt in a bandage-style in vibrant colors is a hot look this summer. Even if you don’t have the perfect shape, the bandage-style miniskirt has a slimming effect that also makes the wearer look taller.
