Hot Bandage Dresses for Summer

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few seasons, then you know how hot the bandage dress has become.  Like the return of the wrap dress a couple of years ago, which was first made famous by Diane von Furstenberg in the 70’s the bandage dress is a dress that was originally made popular by Herve Leger in the early 90’s.

The bandage dress is the epitome of being feminine, sophisticated and sexy all wrapped into one (no pun intended:).  The chic silhouette and sexy proportions of the “hides very little” dress is vastly coveted by celebrities, fashionistas, and everyday women alike.  The basic construction of the dress is literally what appears to be overlapping bandages in a a heavy nylon/spandex/rayon material that hug a woman’s curves in all the right places while giving her the bust of her dreams.  The vast array of colors and neckline the bandage dress is available in greatly depends on the designers or brands who make them.  There is rarely a red-carpet event that goes by that a celebrity is not choosing to wear a bandage-style dress.  I personally loves these dresses because they are very easy to coordinate with complimentary accessories such as handbags and jewelry.  And for reasons purely based on vanity, the bandage dress is a great fit for the women who is dedicated to her fitness and eating regimen and wants to show off all her hard word!

My favorite bandage dresses:
