With the rising temperatures, the desire to wear less clothes is evident everywhere you go. So, why not give your feet a break as well and find a few great pairs of comfortable flip flops for summer!
I am, how you say, a heel junkie. 90% of the shoes in my closet are high heeled and all of those have heels of 3.75″ or higher. This is absolutely fabulous for the outfits that I wear but it is sometimes hard on my feet. Being a strong believer in pedicures and foot massages, I try to give my feet a break as often as possible, yet there are still times when I need to just give heels a rest. So where do I turn for glamorous (more comfortable) footwear? I have personally found my solution in comfortable flip flops. To me, a comfortable pair of flip flops are a pair of great thong flat sandals that are stylish as well as supportive to the knees, calves and legs. If you are a woman who adores her heels as much as I do, finding comfortable flip flops for summer will take you completely out of your realm of normal the next time you go to purchase footwear. To ease some of your shopping apprehension, I have a few tips for you when you go to purchase those comfortable pairs of flip flops for summer!
For starters, look for flip flops that have a solid bottom. Avoid any pair of flip flops with a jelly-like sole (like the ones we were forced to wear by our well-meaning parents as children). Jelly soles offer little support and strain legs muscles. In my personal search for comfortable flip flops for summer, I have found athletic footwear brands make some of the most supportive and comfortable flip flops on the market.
