Good day fashionistas and glamazons of the world. I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, so I knew I had to post something extra special today.
Recently, on one of my shopping forays, I came across the most perfect accent for summer…cropped jackets!
The vintage clothing store that I was in at the time had the greatest selection of cropped jackets in various sleeve styles, cuts, and fabrics. Cropped jackets are something that I have had a chance to blog about before, but now I want to let you know that the styles are not only in denim (for teenie boppers) and leather (when you are going for an edgy look). Now is the perfect time for all of you shop-a-holics out there to grab a few cropped jackets. This is a very versatile piece that can be layered over top of long sleeve blouses and shells in cooler weather or worn over a simple tank in warmer weather. Cropped jackets are also really fabulous items to dress up or dress down according to what you are wearing with them.
For the ladies out there who have a slim waist or boyish frame, you can really create the illusion of curves with cropped jackets. I highly suggest you add a simple dark colored belt with the cropped jacket you choose to wear and make sure that the cropped jacket and the shell or blouse underneath is in a contrasting but complimentary color. This playing with color will lead the onlooker’s eye to see a clearly defined, small waist in comparison to the rest of your silhouette.
So without further ado, below are my fav cropped jackets of the moment…Enjoy!
