You know it, your head turns and your eyes linger at the sight of those display cases full of designer sunglasses as you pass them in your favorite department store.
Well, my eyes definitely linger as well. I know I like designer sunglasses as much as the next woman but many times I am unwilling (or unable) to shell out $300 t0 $400 on one pair of sunglasses. So what is a girl to do? Easy, follow a few tips I have learned from shopping at a local luxury sunglasses shop. Tip #1-Go between seasons to find the best deals. I have discovered that going to this sunglasses boutique between the fall and winter and winter and spring seasons has netted me some of the best deals when it comes to purchasing sunglasses. Tip #2-If possible, avoid trying to purchase sunglasses in or near the summer. This is the time that people wear sunglasses the most which means this is the time when the prices are the most inflated. So stock up on a few pairs in a few different frame/lens color variations during the between season specials when sunglasses are not a top selling item. Tip #3-Go online. Another timesaving and moneysaving trick I have learned is to go online first. Going online allows you to price compare at the click of a mouse and saves you not only money but time as well. Sign up for e-mail updates on certain websites that offer to alert you when new products in a given category are in stock or when items in a particular category go on sale. You can wear your designer sunglasses, you just don’t have to pay full-price!
