The maxi dress is exactly what its name implies.  It is a floor length dress that drapes the feminine form in a very delicate, flirty, or sexy way (depending on the cut of the dress).  Being the shop-a-holic that I am, I have been on the hunt for some of the cutest summer maxi dresses that I can find.  For the days when the perfect sundress is just a little too skimpy, the summer maxi dress is a modern yet bit more conservative look.  My idea of the perfect summer maxi dress is one that isn’t too voluminous or plain.  Hey, I am only 5’4″, so I have to be very careful when it comes to wearing floor length hemlines.  My goal is to never look shorter!
